Dear Friends,
We hope you share our excitement about the rapidly-approaching date. Andrea and I have lived in six cities in all three coasts since we met and as a result many of you, our close friends, are strangers to each other. One of the joys of the wedding is the chance to bring you together. We're going to use the blog to jumpstart the process by introducing a few of you to each other.

This is Charles, Chuck, Drury, of San Diego. We met Chuck in 1995 in the course of our work with San Diego Friends of Cuba. Chuck's a lifelong educator, a native Chicagoan, a former merchant seaman, an never-tiring fighter for justice-- and he was our first house guest at our new place in Chicago. Every year or so, his former students, from an alternative high school, fly him out to Chicago to celebrate and thank him for his role in their lives. Chuck also has the notariety of being the companion of Betty Fry, next up in our pantheon.
